Testing your candidates is probably the most important step in the hiring process.

The next step is to paste your testing instructions for your future candidates.

Paste the instructions in the textbox and format them to your liking.

We evaluated close to 2500 tests over the course of two years and changed our testing process several times until we found the one that works best for us. Here's a template you can use, tried and tested by our content team.

Our client is Acme Corp — an app that helps users deal with everyday issues, from canceling services to setting up appointments and drafting contracts. We need you to promote one of Acme Corp's products (not the app in general).

The product you’ll be promoting is Standardized Legal Documents, which helps the users draft contracts.

Keep in mind that the articles we write go to our client’s website, so you should write from the perspective of Acme Corp (and NOT from the perspective of any third party, like a blogger, customer, etc.).

We will not publish anything you write as a test article.

If you like your candidate's portfolio and you'd like to move them forward through your hiring cycle, the next step is to send them an invitation to submit a written test.

Testing your candidates is an integral part of hiring writers as it will allow you to evaluate the quality of their 1st drafts. Portfolios are usually curated and heavily edited, and understanding what you can expect without the editors and last-minute polishing will help you plan their onboarding and understand how much training they will need if hired.

To test your candidates, change their status to Invite to Test.

Your candidate will receive an email notification asking them to complete the written test

When they click the link in the email, they will be taken to their candidate portal where they can start working on their test. They can access the written test in the left menu, read the test instructions, and use the textbox to write or paste their content there.

Updating your profile

There are several account details in Workello you can update:

1️⃣ Go to your Workello Dashboard and click the Account dropdown and select My account

2️⃣ On the left menu, click Profile

3️⃣ To update your profile picture, click on the profile picture slot. A small camera icon will appear. Click on it.

4️⃣ Select an image from your computer and click Confirm. Your new profile picture is now set!

6️⃣ To update your First and Last name, click on the respective fields and add your name. You can edit these fields as many times as you want.

7️⃣ Once you're all done, click the Save changes button
